Privacy policy

This policy sets out how Kinetic4 (kinetic4.ink, “this site”) handles visitors’ information.

What we collect

This site does not require you to register in order to read it, and has no facility for entering your name, address or phone number. What we collect is:

• Information recorded automatically for analytics (pages viewed, referrer, browser type and so on)
• A record of clicks on links to external sites (which page led to which destination). We store nothing that identifies an individual

In the “Report an error” form, your name and email address are optional. What you send is used only to correct the listing and to reply to you, and is never passed to third parties. We do not store the IP address it was sent from.

What you pick with “Add to compare”, your favourites and the parts and tools you viewed recently are stored only on your device (in your browser’s localStorage), not on our server. To show your favourites and recently viewed items, only their part numbers are sent to our server, and they are not recorded. Clearing the site data in your browser removes them.

About the analytics tool

This site uses Google Analytics, provided by Google LLC. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect data. That data is collected anonymously and does not identify individuals. You can refuse collection by disabling cookies. See the Google Analytics terms of service for details.

About advertising

This site uses third-party advertising services (Google AdSense and various affiliate service providers).

• Advertising providers may use cookies to show ads matched to your interests
• Google and other third-party providers use cookies to serve ads based on your past visits to this and other sites
• Because Google uses advertising cookies, you can turn off personalised advertising in Ads Settings
• We take part in affiliate programmes and may receive a commission when we introduce a product or service. Links and panels that are advertising are marked “PR”

About the Amazon Associates Programme

Kinetic4 (kinetic4.ink) is a participant in the Amazon Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.co.jp.

Amazon, Amazon.co.jp and their logos are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates.

About links to external sites

This site contains many links to makers’ official sites and to retailers. The operator of the linked site is responsible for the information, services and products it offers. We are not responsible for the privacy policies of linked sites.
